14 Days of Blessings: Day 8

Today I wish you laughter.

Have you had a good belly laugh lately? If not, I suggest viewing the video below.

Remember that a merry heart does good like a medicine (Proverbs 17:22).

14 Days of Blessings: Day 1

Christmas is coming! Christmas is coming! People in my town appear to be frantically shopping for the perfect gift while I am trying very hard not to ignore the season this year.

I want more than streets lined with colored lights, beautifully decorated trees, and carefully wrapped packages. I want to see wounded hearts mended. I want to hear of lost sons and daughter returning home. And I want to see my family and friends become who they were destined to be. So I’ve decided to plant seeds of hope this year.

A Love Letter to the Beloved

I have not forgotten you
You matter to Me.
I’m waiting to show love to all
To set you free.

I’m waiting for you to turn around
To see what’s before you.
I’m waiting for your heart to open
For what I desire to do.

My love is deeper than you know.
It’s wider than your imagination.
I loved you before you were born
From the beginning of creation.

Come find me, I’m waiting.
You are not too far away.
I’m yours for the asking.
Come find me today.

I love you.

You are Beloved Music

Uncluttered Part 12: Rise Above the Noise

When I began this uncluttered series at the beginning of the year I was inspired by an advertisement about storage containers. I thought the trouble with storage containers is we tend to hold on to what we need to let go. We pack away things we don’t wear and our garages are filled with books, favorite sweats and sweaters, baby clothes, etc.

Why are we holding on as if we can’t live without them? I am persuaded that some of us only think we can’t live without them. There is a voice in our heads telling us, “I might need that one day.” Some may even have things stored thinking, “So that I never forget what he/she did.” The challenge today addresses the latter storage container, the one filled with thoughts we need to unpack and throw away.

What are you storing away so that you won’t forget the pain? What voices are you hearing about why you need to fill up another storage container? I believe in my spirit that many of us are not growing and walking out our destiny because we are holding on to the past. We are holding on to thoughts (voices and noise) that need to be replaced with words that give hope, words that give life, words that heal.

It’s time for us to move forward. In order to move forward, we have to stop allowing noise–what happened to us, what was said to us, and the mistakes we made to keep us stuck, to stunt our growth.

Let it go.

Rise above that noise.

We are free to live.

It is time to allow our true selves to shine. We were created for LOVE. We were created to give LOVE. We were created to touch the world around us with LOVE. God’s banner over us is LOVE. He is LOVE.

Rise and shine for Light has come! (Isaiah 60:1)

Stand up and let the breath of the Almighty give you a new life you never imagined possible.

Rise Above the Noise

Flowers & Verses 3: Begin Again

Almanac.com says the yellow rose symbolizes joy, friendship, and the promise of a new beginning. Everyday is a new beginning, but we often lack joy, valuable friendships, and we long to truly have a fresh start.

God offers us joy, friendship, and a new beginning every day because He love us. He says to us through Jeremiah 31 that He loves us with an everlasting love. He promises to make His people happy again and give us a fresh start.

Today walk in confidence that your fresh start began when you woke up and the God who loves you deeply is with you every moment.

Come to Love

Jeremiah 31

Help Me Stand Tall

Grief is a strange inspiration, but today it is just that.

Tomorrow we will say “until we meet again” to a very sweet and loving family member who left us very suddenly. As I think about how my family is grieving, I am also thinking of the families in the UK where terror is falling like rain on them. It would be easy to lock ourselves away and give up if we succumb to sorrow, fear, and despair.

Instead, let’s choose to stand tall. To you who are grieving and are afraid of the terror, I pray that you will find comfort in this prayer that helped me through a dark time in my life. I pray that you will find the courage to stand tall.

In times of trials and testing,
Lord, help me stand tall.
When the way seems cloudy and my enemy's infesting,
Help me stand tall.
When I cannot seem to find victory and I feel despair,
Help me stand tall.
When I fall on my face beneath my burdens and care,
Help me stand tall.
When my focus grows dim and my enemy says, "Give in",
Help me stand tall.
When my heart is heavy and I feel discouraged within,
Help me stand tall.

Lord, help me stand on Your truth.
That you are with me forever.
That I am not alone.
That nothing can separate me from Your love.
And You are not done.

Help me stand tall.
Isaiah 41 10

Flowers & Verses 2: You are Free to Live

The blue iris is said to symbolize hope. The butterfly is also a symbol of hope. Many people miss out on a wonderful future because they are stuck in the past.

Free to Live

Don’t let your past hurts, mistakes, and failures stifle your joy today. Forgive yourself and others so you can enjoy the gift of a hope-filled life.

Romans 6:6 (NIRV)
We know that what we used to be was nailed to the cross with Him.
